Our brief required designing a music streaming service that would go head-to-head against giants of the market, with the intention of taking a niche out of their share of audience. The demographics being 25-40 year old avid music lovers. Other requirements were offline listening capability, new music discovery/exploration, creation of credibility with music lovers.
The intersection of music and the city is an enduring phenomenon. Arguably an overlooked one. Many cities have a rich musical history with a story to tell. Some well known, some less so. Muso Map is a music streaming app that frames this intersection by allowing users to navigate a city, discover it’s musicians and unearth their stories.
